Santa Claus Parade

Every year, Santa Claus makes his arrival in the city with a big parade. Not only does he show up himself, all the businesses in the city also show off what they can.

The result is a big parade, with floats, one bigger than the other and a small Santa difficult to find. Even more if you are freezing cold and waiting with a camera held above your head

First impressions…

You never get a second chance to a first impression. Right. So this year, I decided to go out and shoot this first impression… of winter.

The road

Last weekend we had the first winter storm of the season, with about 25cm of snow in the city. Some say this is snow that will stay for the season, but I’m not convinced yet. That’s why you need to record those first impressions.

A distant memory

And yet so powerful. It has been a while since we have seen the sun here in Winnipeg. Many have complained about it, none have been heard and nothing has changed.
