I'm a long term hobby photographer. In fact, I've been taking pictures since I was a teenager, now some 30 years ago. Done a lot of film developing in black and white.

About 5 years ago I switched to digital photography and never looked back. The pictures on this site have only minor corrections like straightening a horizon or cropping out an unimportant element.

None of the pictures have received intensive or "artistic" treatment, only some white balance corrections, sometimes. I hardly use Photoshop, only Lightroom 4 to catalogue and tag the images. I do not use any of the creative filters provided with Lightroom, I prefer the images to look natural and the way they were when I saw them. If some pictures got a heavier treatment, then I say so in the text.

The pictures are not downloadable, their dimensions and resolutions are intentionally kept low. If you want or need a picture for any reason, you can contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we can discuss the matter.

You can write me in Dutch, English, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Frisian not necessarily in that order.

Chiminea. It’s an outdoor wood burning fireplace. I had one but sold it. Replaced with a landmann fireball.
